I’m working on fun little cupcake cards tonight for our travel supporters and then I’m editing pictures from the past week […] On Sunday night…really throughout the watches of the night into Monday morning…our 2nd court date to legally become Isaac’s parents will take place. I love Psalm 121 for this day… I lift my eyes to the hills– Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. […] Was JUST praying for you and will continue! And I hate to think about him turning 10 months in June…and spending half of his sweet little life in an orphanage as it will be 5 months since he was relinquished. My heart hurts for you. We will continue to pray! I’m hurting with you and praying. this has GOT to be THE MOST difficult wait of all so far… i feel like waiting for a referral is hard, man, this part is going to be worse… praying for the 24th! Hang in there Andrea, he will be SO worth the wait, and this time of wait will soon become a distant memory once you hold him in your arms. Stay busy this week with your sweet little ones.. praying for you and Isaac! I just posted my own “strength will rise” entry and was thinking of you too. It’s amazing how God uses all of our unique and changing circumstances to show us His everlasting and unchanging Truth and love. He doesn’t grow faint and weary like us. May you feel His presence and know Isaac does too. oh sweet friend, i am praying for your heart and know that nauseous feeling all too well. praying for healing for isaac’s mother and praying for little isaac. Praying for strength and peace. This last part of the journey is tough! God is good and keep your eyes focused up…don’t look to the left or the right (what could be….). Our daddy God will carry you through this last part…rest in Him! dear friend – lifting you all up this weekend. For the peace that passes our understanding. For His arms to envelope you as your arms long to hold Isaac. For his birth mom’s health. Love you Praying for you, Andrea. I’m praying for you girl! Keep pressing on! Praying……parents hearts are special things….and it is hard if one is missing. PRAYING he won’t be long!!! I am praying for you and baby Isaac. Right there with you!!!! Praying for you guys. .. my heart aches for your family & esp. aches for you, because I can only imagine how difficult the waiting is, but moreover.. the unknown that you are very much feeling. I know in my heart however, that this is just the Lord showing you that Life around us happens. The unknowns, the unexpected… just when we are trailing down on a flat road, the enemey always tends to throw as many speed bumps our way as he can. But it’s just that my friend, a “speed bump”.. sure, we may slow down a bit but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get on the other side of that bump. And YOU WILL! We serve a MIGHTY God that will always provail. He wants that precious little baby in your arms as much as YOU do. He has shown His face & His hand all through this… don’t lose sight of that. As hard as this is, do not allow the enemy to defeat you.. even for a second. Stand strong & KNOW that God is RIGHT HERE with you, every step of the way. The protecting of your heart is unstandable, but Andrea.. God is growing your heart even MORE so during this time of waiting.. and this time of the unknowns… like you had said before, if He just made this easy it doesn’t testify to how our God moved MOUNTAINS to bring little Isaac home… JUST AS HE WILL. As hard as it is, sometimes we have to let go of the “human clock”, and allow God to work in His timing…His sweet, perfect timing. Isaac’s birth mommy needs prayers for healing.. she is getting them, now.. by who KNOWS how many people..thanks to YOU and YOUR obidence to our Heavenly Father. Just like the way He has used His people, of which some you don’t even know, to lift up your family and your sweet Isaac. He has used YOU and His people to lift up that poor woman who has not only gave up her son for a better life because she felt she had no other choice, but is now fighting a sickness that needs prayers for healing. I know I am repeatedive, but Andrea.. I truly feel this in my heart. Please continue to seek our Heavenly Father for strength.. for peace.. for trust.. for hope.. for contentment.. and anything else that you need, friend. I know you will, and I will br praying for the same things. I pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you so much with love and comfort that you will wake up tommorow with a new sense of renewal of TRUST and HOPE. It’s so hard for us sometimes, our human hearts can only take so much, but that’s why He is there to carry us through. Everything is going to be okay. God is growing your heart even MORE SO for that precious baby during this time of waiting, as if you thought that couldn’t happen. 🙂 EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY. I am praying for you friend.. continue to seek His face so He will strengthen your heart, mind, and spirit. “My soul finds rest in God alone, my salvation comes from him. One of my mommy mentors shared this pearl of godly wisdom with me—and it is a must share. I think there is such value in having mommy mentors—but it can also be hard to connect some times with one…much less several. SOOO…trust that I’ll be sharing any gems and pearls when they come my way. […] What an awesome idea! I had a friend do this for my husband and I. We were going through some tough times with our adoption. She had been praying scriptures over us and gave them to me on index cards just to let me know. She punched a whole in each corner and tied them together with ribbon. I keep them on my nightstand so that when I feel worried I can look at the scriptures and remember. oohhhh…I love this! Getting myself some spiral notecards today! Also, thought you might like to know that our pantry door is completely covered in chalkboard paint. Months ago I drew Africa on the board and hearts for places and people we’re praying for. Our sponsored children in Swaziland, Katie Davis in Uganda, Wiphan, Hannah’s Hope and now sweet Isaac is up there right next to Hannah’s Hope. Every time we get into the pantry (which is often:)) there’s a little blue heart there reminding us to send up some prayers for your baby Isaac. Praying him home SOON! Shannon First things first for me in the morning. Grab my hot cocoa (not a coffee drinker) and head to my laptop before the kids get up. Sad face when your blog hasn’t been updated (keep checking back) and then happy face when there is new info to learn!!! Brilliant idea ~ I am so doing this (one for me/hubby too) ~ and my kids are old enough to read their book left behind on their nightstand. Happy Day to You! Okay … this is like an early Mothers Day gift for me. I am heading out first thing in the a.m. to buy my notebooks (one for my hubby too). I just LOVE it! Great advice! I am in the middle of several books that discuss this idea. Recently the importance of praying for my family has been on my heart a lot. Thanks for sharing. I love praying scripture for my babies already (even without their sweet faces) but I LOVE the idea of having a book to remember what you prayed for each child at specific times! Thanks for sharing! I LOVE this idea!!!! I will be doing this for all 5 of my girls, love-love-love it. 🙂 I love the idea of putting these in a notebook. We’ve used the book “Praying the Scriptures for your Children” by Jodie Berndt too. Oh, absolutely love this idea! Isaac’s Psalm 91 is so true for he is being protected and will be with you all soon ! Did you see my idea of the Prayers Angels for your Isaac? Love this idea! Funny God’s timing. A couple of weeks ago I really felt prodded to get some spiraled index cards. I knew I needed to get some Scriptures written down on them again. Then I pulled up your post today and Voila! Now I know exactly what God wants me to do with them…(side note: One of the words He gave me for 2010 was that it was going to be a “passage” year…a year of going through to the other side, and a year of Scripture passages to do it.) This just all fits together and I’m very excited to write in mine tonight! Thank you!!–Rory LOVE IT! I can’t wait to get to the store tomorrow and get started on them!! Such a wonderful way to pray for our children and what a story it will tell in time!! My husband also started a journal for each of our kids when they were born and write in it every so often and he hopes to give it to them when they move out and I write and seal a letter to each of our kids on their birthday and have them tucked away in their keepsake buckets to open one day. I hope they will treasure these little things!! Oh WOW…. this is GOOD stuff! I LOVE it! I love that you use pics on the front. I am definitely going to be investing in some of these booklets.
