Makes me jealous considering our families wont even entertain the thought that we are adopting!! May God bless your son, Isaac. That was so sweet!!! What great friends you have 🙂 WOW! Now you’ve got me teary eyed (again). You are blessed indeed with special friends! How wonderful! What a special baby shower!!! What a beautiful shower! What wonderful friends you have! Looks like you were nicely surprised and had a great time! What’s better than your adoption agency calling and saying they received your referral packet??? (Happened at 5pm! Thank you God!) What’s better than the Fed Ex man knocking on your door to hand you your overnighted birth certificate so you can get a new passport expedited (since you lost your old one) so you can […] Okay, this one is even “feel gooder” than the last one. Hearing what Almaz says about Isaac brought me tears. He sounds like such a special boy. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Almaz is just an angel on earth, and knows heaven on earth when she sees it! She wrote some very powerful words about our Hannah Grace when she was at HH. Will never forget it. Because to soo many Hannah was a child with needs- to Almaz and to us- she was an angel sent to earth for our hearts to hold! AWESOME!! I SO wish I lived close enough to have joined in on the festivities!! We are cheering you one and praying continually! Jenn I am SO in tears right now! Beautiful post. Trust me when I say from afar, that it doesn’t get much better than this … as we following along witnessing Abba Father take you from glory to glory! oh, wish that we lived closer! Love being on your journey with you – cannot wait to see pics and hear a court date:). Wow! Just amazing. Yes! God’s love pours out over and over and over. Amen! what an amazing day. i’m thinking of the phrase “when it rains it pours” b/c god is POURING down blessings on you! i feel blessed myself just to be watching it unfold from afar. Now those are some powerful words for Isaac’s Lifebook! AMEN! I am in tears after reading that. What great friends to give you a surprise party! And the great love the Lord has given you for Isaac is truly amazing! I just pray I have this kind of love for our adopted child when God reveals who he or she is. Do you still want him, she asks, well, He is my son! Beautiful!! Just Beautiful!! Praying that is doing well and you get to him fast!! How exciting and precious! What special words to hear from Almaz! So glad you had such a fun day! Not much better than that (until YOU get to hold your son and get to look into that little face yourself!). What a blessed day! And your shower was just precious! What a sweet group of friends! Almaz is the real deal…and she doesn’t say it unless she means it!! I LOVE what she says about your sweet Isaac!! It will arrive BEFORE their office closes today—so I hope our “next steps” conference call can be scheduled quickly […] oh this post is filled with so much FUN STUFF!!!! love that baby book… it’s the one i’m planning on getting… love the shirts! how awesome are they?! they’re beautiful, julie! praise the LORD isaac’s birthmom is a believer!!!! how amazing!!! and such a great idea to make two albums exactly alike so you can show isaac what his birthmom saw… oh, i’ve got to write that down! and your referral packet is there! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! so many exciting things! Loved learning about Isaac’s birthmother. I cannot wait to see the album you put together. I am sure it will be beautiful and very easy to see the love you have for Isaac. I am so glad you like the album and that you already get to start filling it out. I love them shirts, love the book, love your outings!~ Our God is amazing – how He has been with both you and Isaac’s birth mother, moving in both of you – AWE-INSPIRING!!! Those are precious gifts!!! I think it would be easy to tell you are expecting….probably shows on your face- like I am going to explode unless I share our news with anyone & everyone expression 🙂 Just sayin’! The love you have for Isaac and his birth mother just oozes out of you. 🙂 I so enjoy keeping up with your “paper pregnancy” – would love to get together for lunch sometime soon! Talk about a day of surprises!!! How fun!  First—I have to share some important events in our day… 1. Parker, Laney and I killed a VERY big fly today while humming the “Mission Impossible” tune. That’s real life at the Young house. This is actually a big deal here;). Never underestimate the nuissance a tiny pest can create for the mind and soul. […] Praying for you and your son, and encouraged by your trust in our sovereign God! Hi. My name is Shannon Stivers. We leave Friday for Ethiopia to bring home our 4 year old son (also through AGCI). I could soooo relate to your post today. Our son has an enlarged spleen. We also heard the “worst case scenarios” with our pediatrician. I will never forget that weekend. I cried, I prayed, I was heavy. But, God was very present and I am so grateful. My husband and I came to the conclusion that Afewerk is our son. He is who God has chosen for our family and like our biological children (we have 4)we would never have chosen for them to be sick, but would have loved them and gave them the best possible care regardless. Afewerk is no different. We still don’t know why his little belly is large, but I am at peace. Just wanted to share with you….thanks. And a loud AMEN to that. Praying for you all, and for your sweet I-man. 🙂 And “HOPE will not disappoint!” AMEN! You are equipt…you have the Spirit of the Living God living within you! Can’t wait to see you bring that baby home! Totally AGREE 100% Choosing HOPE in Christ over all that the world could throw our way is worth more than all the treasures of the earth!!!!!!!!! When we talked to our int ped – yep same things about our Hannah and then again about our Naomi…..she told us all the what ifs and how it may happen and we just said – yep that’s good- signed the paperwork…..and let God! That is all we are called to do – obey and do our best. Choose HOPE! Praying for Isaac, his health, and your court date. And confirming that God is still in the miracle business! ABSOLUTELY! The pages are beautiful indeed, but your words that explain your heart’s desire are even more powerful. I am particularly touched by your gratitude and adoration for Isaac’s courageous birth mother and your definition of a forever family who advocates for each other forever more. Your picture of earthly parenting perfectly imitates how our Heavenly Father parents us.

Love the pics, Andrea. So beautiful and I’m sure his birthmom will think so too. We think often of our son’s birthmom in Guat (and now our future child’s in ET) and wish so much we could share the joy with her that he is in our family. I am so thankful you will be able to give her this amazing gift..and such a beautiful story to share with Isaac as he gets older! Love your heart!
