Joy - December 1, 2010 - 10:11 am

Oh my. I would have just cried on the spot arriving at the wrong location for an appointment under those circumstances. Just melted on the floor in a puddle. And the keys/outfit shopping…the greatest cruel irony. Hoping today and the days to come are kinder to you!

Kristin - December 1, 2010 - 10:52 am

From our CRAZY but BLESSED house to yours… PEACE and LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing those non-Hallmark moments!!

Deborah L. King - December 1, 2010 - 10:55 am

It may have started out as “one of those days” but I sure like the way your family “finishes” the day. Thanks for sharing.

Elle J - December 1, 2010 - 4:20 pm

I enjoy your “real” life. =) Love the dance photos – those are the best times that will continue to slip away all too fast. I am so glad that you are enjoying all the moments every time. Happy Day for tomorrow. =)

Isaac’s 1st Thanksgiving – Our week Part 1 & 2

Catching up on sorting through pictures after our crazy week and weekend! (By the way—one of the questions I get MOST is “How do you do everything you do???” Well, lemme tell ya…it’s NOT perfect. And my house isn’t ALWAYS clean…in fact it probably rarely is. I feel like I spend ALL day chasing kids […]

Adorable pictures of your family. Thanks for sharing.

Brenda

Susan - November 30, 2010 - 8:42 am

Andrea, I just started reading your blog courtesy of Cristie Montgomery. Your kid pictures remind me of a family “joke” – that there is no picture of us seven siblings in existence where one of the four boys was not making an ugly face of some sort at having to have a picture taken! 10 years ago at a family party, someone took a pic of my brothers & my dad together- and they were ALL smiling!

Lara - November 30, 2010 - 9:17 am

Amy was the first person I talked to about adoption. We both have sons named Cade and she shared so much encouraging information about adoption and AGCI. Love that gal!

I also love Laney’s crazy boots!

And not to sound weird, but your pictures are fantastic. If you lived nearby, I would arrange playdates with our kids JUST for the pictures. Okay, maybe not just for the pictures, but they would definitely be an added bonus!! Can I just bring my entire family to Created to Care so you can photograph us all??? Hahahahaha!

chris anne - November 30, 2010 - 10:51 am

I ordered 2 shirts from the created to care retreat and was wondering when they would come in.

JJ Roberson - November 30, 2010 - 11:00 am

WAREAGLE!! What a year it’s been huh? I keep checking your blog but I haven’t commented on your blog in a long time. We’ve been home since Feb. with our 2 from Ethiopia and our “surprise” baby was born in Sept. We named her after one of the nannies in Ethiopia. I love keeping up with your blog. We are going to try the fabric wreath you just posted. Maybe in Auburn colors??? =)

Sara - November 30, 2010 - 11:59 am

Love the pictures and, yes, capturing a good shot with four kids is nearly impossible! I had to cut and paste heads for this year’s Christmas card. Hehehe!

april - November 30, 2010 - 12:19 pm

i love all your pictures andrea…such amazing pics and i love how you took a pic of your daughter standing in the place where you were proposed to by your hubby…how precious! I look forward to hearing that story! You have some of the most adorable kids!

Dawn - November 30, 2010 - 2:27 pm

I know it isn’t a good thing….but I am sooo jealous of all the people you get to see so often ๐Ÿ™‚ Hmmm…..may have to travel back to Nashville for next year again ๐Ÿ™‚ This time we need to meet ๐Ÿ™‚

Love all of your pics- your kids are sooo CUTE!!!!!! And I think Isaac and Joanna need to meet ๐Ÿ™‚

Alison - November 30, 2010 - 5:29 pm

Thanksgiving Break – Part 3 – A life well lived…

Okay…so I haven’t posted Part 1, 2 or 4 yet–but there are definitely 4 “share worthy” parts of our family’s Thanksgiving break. Some how though, I feel this part is the most important, and I feel like I NEED to write this one down first… For over a week my great Aunt Thelma had been […]

GAP - November 28, 2010 - 10:04 am

How could it be ANYTHING but a PINK sunset? Pink was HER color. Thank you for this sweet, sweet post! It was amazing to sit and listen to her go on about the children. I never tired of it. Jesus’ love shined though every word. She was awed when she saw your face on that Skype call from Ethiopia. We will all miss her very much. She is in a better place. She live a full life and was able to pass from this life at home. She was blessed, but more than that, she was a blessing.

Lara - November 28, 2010 - 3:09 pm

She sounds like she was wonderful. Thanks, I’m all teary now.

Kathryn - November 28, 2010 - 3:33 pm

I am sorry for your loss, she sounds like quite a special lady!
My Grandfather came from a family with 13 kids and it has been a blessing to have known many of my Great Aunts and Uncles very well over the years. It is almost like having several extra sets of Grandparents. =}

Bobi Bobbitt - November 28, 2010 - 9:31 pm

Andrea, what a precious post and a precious lady! I got chills when I saw the beautiful picture you took of the sky! Also could not help but think of my Great Aunt who we plan to name our daughter after! She, too is a ray of sunshine to all around her, my Aunt SADIE! (:

Frank and Isaac’s Baby/Parent Dedication…

Sunday was SUCH a sweet day for our family!!! It was Isaac and Frank’s baby dedication TOGETHER!!! Our church recently changed the baby dedications from having them in service (where we could invite all our friends and family) to having them in BIG event where all the families dedicate their babies all at once. We […]

I totally agree with the baptism celebrations! I felt the same way about making that day so special every year! When my son was baptized, we sent out “birth” announcements, just like we did when he was born and had a big birthday cake and celebration with all our friends and family. Last year, for the one year anniversary, we had another cake and celebration. I want them to know that that day is the most important day of their life! And we got so many letters to him on that day the next year encouraging him on that journey- so sweet! I love your blog and have been praying for your family! Keep up the good work!

sara just - November 15, 2010 - 9:31 pm

beautiful.. love your blog..we are still in the paperchase process and i love your heart for god, family and crafts..can you explain how you did the banners.. would love to make some for gifts.. thanks so much!!

missy - November 16, 2010 - 12:21 am

what an incredibly beautiful service. i LOVE that you did it this way and that boy of your boys were dedicated together. i was jazzed about frankie being in the movie, but this is WAY cooler!!!! the verses on the burlap are visually stunning and so powerful to literally have them hanging in the doorframes. i am so not crafty, but i would love to try something like that. you will always remember that day.

marci - November 16, 2010 - 6:55 am

Jewel, that is what I think of when I think of the YOUNG family…Honestly,Andrea you make moments “Holy” …your whole family is teaching as they go….blessings and Pax,Marci

Jenny - November 16, 2010 - 8:29 am

oh such a very special day! thanks for sharing it with all of us!

Rebecca - November 17, 2010 - 5:09 pm

What a beautiful, beautiful day. I LOVE the idea of an at home dedication. I wish things like that were more common this life. I also LOVED the scripture verses printed and hanging. If you don’t mind having someone copy, I’ll be trying to make some for our family!

I am also going to link to you. Hope that is OK. ๐Ÿ™‚
