a sweet welcome home video…

I just can’t stand not sharing this video as it was made by one of my dearest adoption momma friends Jenn Cooper. To say we have just a little bit in common–is an understatement. She is a kindred spirit through and through. Jenn and her husband were led to also adopt after their 3rd biological […]

LOVE everything you said, Andrea! We must interlock hands and fight for the well being of the Ethiopian children! In a world where there is so much evil, it is heart warming to see so many people banding together and praying that this policy WILL NOT come to pass! I have to be honest, I am very worried, but I am clinging to what I know is true, God loves adoption and I know that He will be glorified through this trial so many of us are facing!

Ash Wednesday…our journey begins to the cross…today

Today–is Ash Wednesday. I woke up this morning…fixed my coffee…my heart was heavy. I thought about the thousands of little ones in Ethiopia who may be stuck in the middle of a new Ethiopian MOWA policy. I began to ask Him, “What is your purpose and will here Lord? What is Your heart?” Do not […]

Thank you, Andrea. I, too, needed to read your words of wisdom this morning. Thank you for making time to encourage me (as well as many others, I’m sure).

Jenn Bachman - March 9, 2011 - 10:38 am

Thank you for listening to God!! We are waiting for our referral and the news about what might happen in Ehtiopia was heart breaking. But I am encouraged by your post today – Do Not Worry. I have over come. I needed to hear those words – and even though God spoke them to you they were meant for our family as well. You are a blessing!!!

Erin - March 9, 2011 - 11:48 am

Andrea,
This morning through a conversation with my friend God showed me this:

For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart,
life is a continual feast.

– Proverbs 15:15

And I love the amplified version:
15All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].

sara - March 9, 2011 - 10:27 pm

Melkam Yelidet Beaal!

That’s “Merry Christmas” in Ethiopia!!! Yes, TODAY is Christmas day in Ethiopia!!! One of my dear friends who lives in Ethiopia sent me a link explaining how their country celebrates Christmas. As Isaac gets older, we want to celebrate this special day traditionally as they do–but needless to say this morning we didn’t make it […]

I think it is so fabulous that you are celebrating Ethiopian traditional holidays! Even though in my heart I feel called to Asia when hubby says yes, I’m gonna get my boys ready for all possibilities! I found some traditional Ethiopian recipes that we are going to try at
