When it rains…it pours!

My adoption friend Missy commented the other day on one of my posts “when it rains, it pours…and God’s blessings are pouring down!” Well…I have ANOTHER praise today!!! Seriously…God is just sooooo stinkin’ good—that I could just POP with PRAISE today!

My friend, Angie Walter, who is in Ethiopia RIGHT now loving on her precious new son JUST emailed me to let me know that she checked on Isaac for me when she was at the orphanage. I’m THRILLED with her report and so excited. One of my specific prayers has been that Isaac would be strengthened and specifically that he would have neck strength. Just 2 weeks ago when we received his referral–he wasn’t holding his head up. At 8 months, of course this concerned us–but we did not question that he was OUR SON! No matter what he ever accomplished physically—he is ours and we are his cheerleaders and advocates for EVERY milestone. I had this picture of me holding him for the first time…and my hands having to hold up his head. While I dreamed of one day running the Peachtree Road Race…either him running or me running behind him—regardless he is ours. I got the report just a few hours ago that Isaac is holding up his head ON HIS OWN! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM! His blessings are POURING DOWN!

My heart truly feels like my son will one day crawl, walk and run! I truly believe he is going to be a healthy little boy…and run that Peachtree Road Race (not that all Ethiopians are runners…and it’s of course okay if he if wants to play chess instead…although his daddy goes cross-eyed every time I tell him it’s okay if one of his boys doesn’t play sports and plays chess instead;). I am believing BIG, BIG things for this kiddo! NOW…if we can just get a court date and get our hands on before we miss more milestones.

NOW…Isaac, if you want to start sitting before we get you…it’s okay with me;-). Of course I want to see every milestone…but by all means—you go right ahead and do your thing sweet son! Momma can’t WAIT to get her hands on you and kiss those cheeks!

And finally…Angie also reported “HE IS SOOO SMILEY!” Oh happy day! He is getting healthy, growing…AND HAPPY! His mercies are new every morning! GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS!

I think this is going to be what I appreciate the most about the AGCI family- the care and concern for one another’s children. I can’t wait to be the one sending home good reports to momma’s about their babies!

I can “hear” you from across the ocean and thru the internet. Seriously. You are so dear to me that I feel like I am listening to you as I read your update. The blessings are indeed pouring from above. And you keep dreaming big dreams for your son cause we serve a BIG God who is still in the miracle business. Our Sam is living proof!
Praising Him from Hong Kong,
Kim
