Help send a stranger;) to serve the orphan and love on them ALL SUMMER long!

I know you sweet friends love some Isaac updates (AS I DO TOO!) and I may have another one very SOON…but I have something on my heart that I want to share…

After graduating from college I went overseas to serve in East Asia with Campus Crusade for Christ. In a very short amount of time, I had to raise approximately $25,000 to cover my year of living expenses. I was 22 at the time–and my how that year of my life impacted my world! It was one of the most amazing years of my life–leading others to know my Savior…but also–my how my heart was changed! I am different…so different…because of that experience. Raising the funds to go–now, that was both the fun part and the hard part. Hard to trust…but fun to watch God work. To this day–I remember the ONE THING that blessed my socks off THE MOST were complete strangers supporting me! And to be honest, I got most of my support from complete strangers. In this, I just felt God’s love and support pour down and I was so humbled and touched that a complete stranger would support ME going across the world for the gospel.

Today…I have 2 special people I want to introduce to you this week…and today I’d love for you to…

Meet “MY” Caitlin…

Caitlin showed up on my doorstep one day after much prayer. Not really. But PRETTY close. I had just birthed Frank and had 2 preschoolers–and I was trying to do photography a few days (no longer doing that one). I was slamming everything in to Saturdays and refused to get a babysitter. I just wasn’t comfortable with just anyone keeping my Frank. A friend told me that Caitlin just MIGHT take a semester off school–I called her–and a week or so later she was in my house and I was blown away by the God-timing but also by this precious daughter of Christ.

Caitlin came in and it was definitely time appointed by God as we talked Africa, babies and shared our love for the Lord. The girl is more than 10 years younger than me…but oh my–I feel like she is a DEAR friend and…well, she just might be more mature than my crazy self;). I had 4 sweet months with her–and she blessed me during a time in my life where I needed a break…and then she took off for Africa to serve with the Daraja Children’s Choir in Kenya.

Here they are in action…

Caitlin will go to Kenya and help serve these precious kids and get the next group ready to go on a tour! These kids get an opportunity of a life-time…and in the process gets the world on board with 410 Bridge. OK…so here’s the kicker—Caitlin just has $1500 left to raise BUT she just has 2 weeks or so left to raise it! I love that she took last summer off to do this—and she is taking off AGAIN before her senior year in college to do it again…and trust me—this girl will be taking off after she graduates too…only I’m afraid she’ll be gone much longer after that! I can’t say enough wonderful things…but she wouldn’t want me to–so I better stop.

Would you consider blessing Caitlin’s socks right off her feet—encourageing her—and although you might be a total stranger to her…would you consider donating toward her trip? You can go here: https://my410bridge.org/caitpitts and make a donation toward her serving all summer. I can’t tell you what this meant to me when I was in her shoes…and I know it would mean so much to her—and those precious orphans and vulnerable children she will be investing in.

You can make a donation—OR you can also buy a tshirt! She has tshirts…$15 for one…or buy your whole crew shirts! Go to the same link (above) and make a donation for the number of shirts you would like! And…if you leave a note—tell her I sent you and please let me know if you joined Caitlin’s support team! Let’s help Caitlin reach her $1500 by the end of the week!!! Anything is possible when we work as the body of Christ!!!

P.S. I have a super fun surprise to share with you all THIS Friday! Don’t you hate teasers?! I really is sooooo fun…but I have to keep it a secret until Friday:) hee.hee.

Wow Andrea…I’m up late with an anxious feeling in my stomach why?!? because I just finished working on Sole Hope stuff and of course I’m wondering and wondering if I’ll get enough in 2ish weeks to go to Africa with Wiphan. Trying not to get too excited about it, but at the same time not really able to help myself…you know the feeling I’m sure. This post just reminded me that God CAN do anything. Now…I wait with great expectations. Prayers for your family and Caitlin.
