Grandmama is in town!

SOO…not only did I come home to happy kids on Sunday afternoon from Denver–but I also came home to my mom (aka Nana) AND *my* grandmother being here! (I’m not too proud to say this momma LOVES still needing her momma and grandmother is just icing on the cake!) They’re just here until Tuesday afternoon…but still, it’s SO nice having them here! And Isaac loves playing with the accessories they bring with them…

Seriously. Can I just ask the question?! Is he NOT the cutest little thing you ever did see?! I could just gobble him right up!

Now, I thought since I don’t travel like daddy does–that I would do what daddy does do when he travels. He ALWAYS walks in the door and gives little surprises from his trip…usually having to do with the location where he traveled (Traverse City trips…we get cherry goodies…and so on). SO…to comfort the kids as I left and tears were being shed, I told them that momma was gonna do exactly what daddy did and bring little treats!

I thought momma did a pretty good job doing the daddy thing! The kids all got these…the perfect way for any kid to carry their water in the backyard don’t ya think?!

Now…daddy never leaves out momma–so momma wasn’t gonna do that either…but the kids did think it was pretty funny that I bought daddy rocks…(Richard didn’t think it was as funny as they did:)

You should have seen their faces when momma opened the bag and ATE some! It was awesome. It’s really candy:). They are begging for rocks now:) Now–the only side effect of this might be next next time we go to the park and they see similar rocks on the ground;).

We had some wood-smoked burgers Sunday night for dinner on daddy’s new grill–and we all enjoyed our favorite natural soda…ITY drenched his shirt with IZZE…but he thought it was worth it I think;)

What REALLY melted my heart though–was hearing Laney ask her baby brother to come sit in her lap…and watching HOW MUCH SHE LOVES HIM!!! One thing is FOR SURE…babies are WELL LOVED at our house!!!!

And then…it was time to break out the kiddie pool! Yep–summer starts early in the South folks!

We’ve pulled out the flipflops, and the swings are in full force…

And life is good:)

Hope you all have a great week! (Ok…if you just wonder about things like this–the shirt says “Please Pick Me” and it’s just one of the many that we make each year before heading to Hilton Head to hear Shannon Tanner sing…the kids TRY to get picked every year to sing on stage…no such luck just yet–but they get more and more creative each year…and this shirt was Parker’s from 2 years ago!)

Andrea:)

Oh Andrea,

I just can NOT get over how amazing he looks. So healthy, so adorable, so secure.

He seems like such a big boy, and such a stronger boy than the one I met 9 months ago.

He’s come SO far! Wow!
