July 2nd – 1 Year Home Party! {A reason to celebrate}

If you know us–we are always looking for a reason to celebrate–and THIS reason we thought was worthy of a CELEBRATION! It’s official. Today we have been home 1 year!!! SO–we decided to invite Isaac’s friends over and family and CELEBRATE! We have come SO FAR in 1 year!!! This time last year we were stepping off a plane…with our friends and family there to support us…

We’ve made it through the sleepless nights to REST and where our boy wakes and even plays when he wakes. We’ve learned to roll over, sit, crawl, stand, WALK, RUN…ride a horsey…and be so happy and comfortable that giggles overflow daily in our home. We’ve juggled therapies, doctor visits, surgeries…and finally landed with day to day life and being WELL. Today is a much different day than a year ago. The Lord has done great things for us in this year…and we figured…it was kinda a BIG reason to celebrate. SO, turn off the tunes up top–and celebrate with us from afar!

Parker and I made the mason jar lanterns. I made the fun name tags for the mason jars for lemonade. Rico Suave smoked melt-in-your-mouth barbcue while I made potatoe salad that was full of my favorite things (celery, sweet pickles, eggs…oh so good!). And lots and lots of cupcakes–that Frankie baby sprinkled. And most importantly–the presence of dear friends and family…what a fun day to remember… (PAUSE MUSIC UP TOP BEFORE WATCHING:)

I also made a video of our year in pictures that I left running inside during the party for those taking a break from the heat. I’ll spare you though because it consisted of approximately 500 pictures of my favorite moments and was 45 minutes long. BUT oh I loved it!!! So fun rejoicing in the year…and so excited for what the next one holds! We love you Isaac Temesgen to pieces and pieces!
