GUESS WHO JUST GOT HOME!?

My hubby and “Toby the dog” are officially home from Zambia!

And boy do THEY have stories to tell…stories, videos, slideshows all to come—but for now…we are ALL crashing at nap time after a long, hard week on both the home front and the mission field! GOD IS SOOOO GOOD! Can you imagine our car ride home?! Had a few things to tell the hubby about Ethiopia program changes, the “Project 127 Proposal” at church, etc—and I’m DYING to hear all of his amazing stories!!!

Just to make you laugh and scratch your head if you really want to know anything more about me…and to make you wonder if I am officially crazy…

…pulling in the driveway and I surprised Richard with…a flower garden!!! He’s been wanting a garden in the backyard…so crazy me decided YESTERDAY to plant one! Yep…shoveled 15×5 feet of grass yesterday, soiled, planted rose bushes (120 bulbs waiting to be planted now!), assembled 2 adirondack chairs, and laid 25 slate stepping stones from the backdoor to the new garden…started project at 3pm–completed at 1am. YES…1am. I’ve officially lost my mind. That’s what a week of being home alone with 3 kids under 5 for over 7 days will do to ya?! BUT…boy was he surprised!!! Made two nice Hispanic friends who delivered rocks, stone steps and 3 gingantic rocks so kindly at last mintues notice! AND…while my mother in law sounded slept here I was at Walmart at MIDNIGHT looking for mulch. Which they were out…but I met the sweetest new friend from Kenya and she now knows how to make pimento and cheese sandwiches per our conversation;). Yes, I am crazy…but that’s the way I roll.

My sister called while I was shoveling after hours and asked me if I was crazy and if any part of me ever wanted to rest. The answer to that is YES…but it’s rare. But I may need physical therapy after all that shoveling! I’m off to nap NOW…but imagining the look on my hubby’s face when he saw the hardwork for HIM was SOOOOO worth it! And now…we have a fun flower garden:). Hope you all have a great weekend…and can’t wait to read the Word after snoozin’! YAY to a hubby who is home to help with kids! AND…I’m also just really happy to have my honey (and Toby too of course!) home.

XOXO!

Andrea
