Special Events Ahead

PRAYERS ARE BEING ANSWERED!

This momma just got an update on her baby…and she couldn’t be happier! Nope…no court date–YET. But pretty stinking good if you ask me!

Just 2 months ago…little Isaac was unable to eat because of his severe malnourishment. Just 2 weeks ago, when we received his referral–his body couldn’t handle regular formula. He was only able to hold down special F75 formula…you can read about it here. UNICEF provided Hannah’s Hope with this formula for my little man. He was also around 7 pounds when he came in at 6 months. 2 weeks ago he was almost 10 pounds. AND TODAY??? Isaac is officially able to take Enfamil (as of the 16th!) and he is also digesting solids (cereal) THREE TIMES A DAY! WOOT! Praise the Lord!!! All glory and honor and praise be to His name! Our Isaac is now a WHOPPIN’ 12 POUNDS! Can you BELIEVE it!? Our prayers are being answered!!! Please continue to pray for his continued progress and strength!!! This mommy is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy!

And on a side note—just in case you wondered…he is having 3 bowel movements a day and a wet diaper at every changing. That-a-go Ike! AND…he is eating Enfamil every 2-3 hours AND 3 times at night! Sounds like I better get my sleep on while I can! I actually LOOK FORWARD to the day and the special one-on-one time I am going to have with Isaac throughout the night feedings! Richard, you are totally going to have to fight me to get your hands on him;). Now…if I was more coordinated and wouldn’t scare the neighbors, I’d run outside and do somersaults!

Truly, I can’t thank you enough for joining us in prayer! Please pray Isaac continues to progress well…gaining weight and eating well…I’m STOKED he is on Enfamil and cereal!!! AND 12 pounds! Please pray we get issued a court date soon and pray specifically that we pass the first time. Also–please pray that I am able to meet Isaac’s birth mother while I’m in Ethiopia…that God would make a way for our hearts to connect and finally meet. Thank you for praying!!! LOVE YOU ALL TO PIECES AND PIECES AND MORE PIECES!

    Nisia shared the amazing news and my family could not be happier for yours. We are truly thankful that God chose you and your family for little Issac…..I feel the love and support of “his mother” just reading your words..how blessed is he to be welcomed with sooooooooooooo much LOVE!!!! Thank you God for Issac and showing so many that we have the capacity to love even greater than we could imagine.

    You have been on my heart SO MUCH lately and I have been trying to get into your blog to hear UPDATES on your adoption, and how you were doing. SOME HOW I still had the OLD address saved… and it was killing me not knowing what was going on with your adoption. 🙂

    About a month and a half ago.. I was in deep prayer late at night, and it was SO precious. I was in prayer and all of a sudden, your precious face was in my mind.. God had placed you on my heart to pray for you. I don’t know what it was about.. but I prayed-prayed-and prayed for you & your family. God always knows our needs, and I LOVE that He looks to His people to lift up those around us. I’ve prayed for you so many times…. but I hadn’t been able to check on you for awhile.. but then POOF 🙂 there you are in my prayers.. all designed by God. He is SO good to us all.

    I wanted to share with you because how cool is that???? 🙂 I am SOOOOO glad that thanks to “Lucy Lane’s” blog, I was directed to your new site. I had it under my “favorites” but my oh my, I need to clean/oraganize that out… I coudln’t find you for the life of me (smile). I am catching up now, my friend… YOU HAVE YOUR REFERRAL and this just makes my heart just SMILE & SCREAM with joy for you! I’ve been reading your blog since you first started the process… and I am SOOOO excited for you to meet that precious little Issac!
