The view from Cloud 9 is pretty beautiful:). We are sooooo happy to be waiting on travel dates. Ahhh…that phrase “sooooo happy to be waiting” doesn’t seem like a normal phrase for the adoption wait. It has been almost a year (in June) since our hearts were first stirred to adopt…and it’s looking pretty hopeful that Isaac will be in my arms exactly a year from when I first sat behind my computer boo-hooing at Lucy Lane’s video! My what a journey it has been!!! But I must say…I am not only FLOORED a year later at how much I have learned about the Lord–but also to see His heart advocating for both the orphan and widow. You wanna see God work in your life? Get on board with an orphan/widow ministry OR adopt. I am so encouraged through my journey to watch the Lord work. Just blown away.
I was just thinking how sweet this is to now be planning to travel. Had we passed the first time–it wouldn’t even be this sweet. I thought I cared for the widow…Isaac’s birth mom…but when we heard she was sick–we LONGED for her to get better and cried out for her. I have a new sense of urgency to help the widow–and a new heart for the orphan who needs a home. I have fallen in love with both–and I am SO HUMBLED that the Lord would chose ME to be the other mommy.
NOW…we wait for travel dates. Our agency has 2 embassy dates for June–and now we wait to see which will be ours:). I can’t wait to share our travel dates when we get the tentative and confirmed dates–hopefully in the next week or two! SO excited! How thankful I am for all of you who have been praying for us and praying our Isaac home!!! It won’t be long now!
XOXO!
Andrea
