LOVE this!! Seriously, I have told Jody so many times, “When we are old and gray, sitting at Chick-fil-a eating lunch together, I want to be able to look back at our lives and have no regrets! I want to know that we said YES to whatever God was calling us to!” Ya’ll have a great weekend!!!! Well, it’s good to know you’re a member of the Former Middle School English Teacher Club. Now THAT’S where the crazy’s at!! Love that you shared this story! I’ve been thinking an awful lot lately about the beginnings of my marriage and the oh so much wonder it has been in the journey! Wonderful husbands are pretty much just rockin’ awesome and I’m SOOO thankful for mine! It’s great to hear other wives proclaim how SOOOO thankful they are for theirs as well. I enjoyed this read this Friday afternoon while I’m at home waiting on my man to arrive. I think we might dance before dinner! Maybe a little during dinner just to see how long it takes for the kids to join us! 🙂 Oh Andrea. How wonderful. It is so fun to read so much detail and to see a piece of your heart. Thanks for sharing about your beautiful marriage and the pictures to ‘prove it’ (haha). What a joy! The Lord has really blessed your marriage!! Love this and love you guys. I can’t believe it’s already been eight years. I can still remember sitting at Panera with you, six months after the wedding, in disbelief, demanding proof from your doctor that you REALLY did have a bun in the oven 🙂 We went to Banff on our honeymoon, too! Just made me smile… 🙂 That is too cute! My hubby tried to get me to go out with him several times with me turning him down too!!! Praise the Lord for our husbands and all these fun memories He’s given us! Love your sweet story. And I share your utter and complete fear of roaches. UGH! So so precious, Andrea!! I love it! If you were to stop and create a story board, like they put together for scenes in movies, you would know beyond any shadow of a doubt, that God went to a great deal of trouble to put the two of you together with a perfection and precision (both timing and pairing) that only the most pathetic of cynics could ignore. The seemingly unrelated paths and sequence of events were timed with a perfection that is beyond any human’s capability. And to think, He does this time and again, in so many ways, and all we have to do is be in the right frame of mind to accept His gentle (and sometimes not so gentle 😉 nudges along the way. […] A match made in heaven… […] Okay–first…wanna see what life is REALLY like at our house?! I mean, we aren’t right by any means–but we sure have fun. I have an old family hashbrown caserole recipe that my family calls “funeral potatoes” because at any funeral it is a guarantee that those potatoes will be served! And you are BRAVE giving up the tube. My 4 year old is a bit of a cartoon junkie and it can be a real fight to keep the cartoons to minimum. Great word Andrea! He is the author of all HOPE! As I have been praying for and over the situation, I too have been reminded that God is sovereign over this…There is such peace in that! Thank you so much for this post! I haven’t been able to find very many and have not had a chance to make them on my own – but it’s my project for this year so it’s ready for next year! 🙂 The “rectangles” Amy spoke of really impacted me as well. I like how you pointed out that the rectangles take us away from real living. It’s so true. I started praying about how God wants me to reposition my compass to focus on Him this lent. Love the “rectangles” analogy. We are good about limiting TV … but I blogging and books are a major distraction for me.  So…we have nothing to worry about our house–because we officially have 24-7 security going on…I mean–he is intimidating…RIGHT??? My kids play dress up 24/7–and today was policeman day for Frank… I’m not sure why the Lightning McQueen rainboots or pj bottoms go with this outfit…but just roll with it. THEN…I got a really fun little […] Your daughter is beautiful!!! and Frank makes me smile. =) We are tea drinkers here too, so I relate to your comment about cup o tea and quiet time with your fav buddy. My hubby likes green tea plain, and I like Chamomile with sugar. =) Love that Frank. And when did Laney start looking so big? OH MY … she is gorgeous (just like her Momma)! 1.) Frank is hilarious and adorable! 2.) Lanie is STUNNING. What a beautiful little girl! (I definitely think you need another girl around the house, by the way!) 3.) I love a good cup of hot tea. My favorite is Tazo Earl Gray with honey (http://www.starbucksstore.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=271927). So good! What beautiful photos! Love them all. Precious, precious pictures!! Frank cracks me up, and Laney is just beautiful!! And my favorite is Earl Gray k-cups in the Keuring in the morning! So easy and so yummy! And I add a packet of Truvia! Oh, and I am an Anne of Green Gables lover too!!! In fact, Jody knows that my dream vacation is to one day go to Prince Edward Island! 🙂 |
