Melissa - May 31, 2011 - 12:23 pm

Dawn - May 31, 2011 - 7:47 pm

Looks like fun to me!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Jen - May 31, 2011 - 9:06 pm

Me too on the tomato recipe! (:

Sandi - June 1, 2011 - 12:56 pm

I literally just took a break from finalizing last minute details for our itinerary for Hilton Head. I was feeling SUPER apprehensive wondering if I chose the wrong vacation spot to keep 2 little adventurous boys happy. We’ve done Disney 3 times & we loooved Charleston so I wanted to try Hilton Head,SC & Savannah. SO, I read my bible verses about TRUST, checked out your blog & VOILA-the Lord just gave me the perfect answer to stop worrying. Looks like Harbour town’s going to be great! The Salty dog is even on our list! I just love how God works in tiny minute details! Hope you’re feeling refreshed & renewed!

Kim - June 2, 2011 - 10:58 pm

The tea recipe looks yummy. Did you use family size teabags or the small ones? Thanks!

the latest… {and just 7 more days to pre-order one of these!}

SOOO far we’ve sold 20 shirts!!! Okay–that may not sound like a TON to you (hey with fewer people in the drawing–that’s just better chances to win RIGHT;)–BUT EVERY SINGLE shirt is another one closer to my goal!!!! SOOOOO…Yay!!!!! My goal is to sell 200…so that’s just 180 more to go;). Don’t YOU wanna buy […]

Praying for your tshirt sales … can’t wait to read what you are going to post!! Love the suspense, I can’t even imagine what it is. Took the kiddos to Kung Fu Panda 2 movie, and surprised to find a touching adoption storyline (in a DreamWorks kinda way, not biblical or very deep) but touching none-the-less. =)

Sandi - May 30, 2011 - 1:41 pm

Just got mine! This must be Kung Panda weekend. After seeing the movie my 5 yr old has requested McDonald’s breakfast twice because he wanted Kung Fu Panda happy meal toys. Gotta love those $1 toys! Praying for God to show up and show out on your new journey!!

Esty - May 30, 2011 - 1:59 pm

No fair, Andrea. GIVE. ๐Ÿ˜‰ xoxox

African Family Fellowship… {and a recital}

Love love love the sweet pic of you and L. I’ll miss not having a girl for recitals ๐Ÿ™‚

Alison - May 23, 2011 - 11:40 pm

AWWW! Love these precious pics! We had dance recital weekend too…so precious! Can’t wait to read your post on “standing firm in your calling” because that is exactly what we feel like God is telling us to do. He continues to tell us to “stay the course”…our daughter is in Ethiopia.

Deborah L. King - May 24, 2011 - 9:32 am

I vote no on the haircut. Frankie is too cute. Looking forward to the next two posts. Thanks for sharing.

Some business…and then some sweet fluff:)

Alrighty dear blog readers–first…I have 2 orders of business:). Very important stuff I might add:) Do you ever number your important things to cover in emails like me? Some times it helps this scatterbrained momma get ‘er done…and keep my brain organized. 1. FIRST, one of my sweet blog readers is a SINGLE mom—yet the […]

I am scrambling this evening – but saw you posted and had to check it out. Only had time to scroll through pictures – will come back tomorrow to read. =) But wanted to say that the coaster is my FAVORITE verse as it was the blessing my Pastor spoke to me when I was baptized. LOVE IT!! Rings so true to me. I will be jumping over to purchase. =) Thanks for the link!!!

Traci - May 19, 2011 - 2:03 am

A little olive oil will take those tattoos right off! Been following your blog for a while now. Your babies are gorgeous! Thank you for always being so encouraging and positive!
God bless!

Becca - May 19, 2011 - 2:39 am

I’ve just started reading your blog, and I love hearing about your kiddos (and your “paper” pregnancy, with one on the way). Thanks for sharing your heart.

On a practical note, fingernail polish remover should take off the wretched tattoo. My kids love them, and grandma loves to help them out, but they drive me absolutely crazy. If you wait for the tattoo to wear off, Frank may be starting kindergarten with Mater on his hand…

Shelly Roberts - May 19, 2011 - 8:09 am

Soooo fun getting to see a snapshot of your afternoon! Didn’t know they made such straws. Wow. My boys would have been all over those when they were little. ๐Ÿ™‚

Loved hearing about the fund raising idea! I can SO appreciate this mom’s efforts. We did massive assembly lines during our 2nd daughter’s adoption with card making. Thousands upon thousands of cards were made and we ended up raising about $10,000 that way over the year. It was an INSANE amount of work and sooooooooo worth it for our precious wee-one to have a family.

kim zawodzinski - May 19, 2011 - 8:36 am

Baby oil is another way to take off temporary tatoos.

Joy Kinard - May 19, 2011 - 8:43 am

Use rubbing alcohol on the tattoo. It will come right off. I love your little family! I read your blog all the time, but rarely leave you a comment. I hate when people don’t leave me comments, so sorry about that! I was thinking about your sweet family just the other day. We have a sweet foster baby girl that we are praying God allows us to adopt. She is African American and we are white. I was getting myself in a tizzy about if she will fit in with her african-american peers, who she will marry, etc…. And then it occured to me that I could PRAY that God will surround her with other children just like her! Black babies with white parents! So… I got busy with the praying. I can not wait to see what God does about it!

Debb - May 19, 2011 - 1:09 pm

Oh, your kiddos just make me smile! You could be my neighbor any day! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Alison - May 19, 2011 - 1:56 pm

Love the cute pics! And I was looking for some coasters the other day…will go order some from Sarah!!!

Sandi - May 20, 2011 - 2:31 pm

Thank you for letting us know about Sarah! Hoping one day it will be us. Until then it just makes my heart happy to support other families who are giving one more child a loving family!!!! I’m thinkin’ those coaster sets will make some lovely presents. I love gifts with “a conscience”, makes them that much more special!

Erin Crenshaw - May 22, 2011 - 9:37 pm

Andrea!!!! I just caught up on the last couple of months!!!! I am SO EXCITED for you guys! What a sweet story about how God led you to your baby girl in China!! Praying for you guys!!

Brittany - May 26, 2011 - 11:22 pm

I’m from KY too!! Your family is beautiful and I LOVE your blog! We are praying through an adoption and can’t wait to take the first step:)

Brittany

A God of Joy…a God of details…

Have you ever thought about when someone tells you, “God has been putting you on my heart lately…” that you USUALLY think that to mean that you MUST be going through something hard so the Lord is putting you on someone’s heart to pray for. WELL…I really do believe He does that—but do you ever […]

Larisa Maibach - May 13, 2011 - 6:47 am

Beautiful post Andrea! I love hearing the little everyday ways that God speaks to his children…it is always SUCH an affirmation of His great love for us.

Kim - May 13, 2011 - 11:44 am

What a beautiful blessing to be in tune with His voice.

Rory Cookman - May 13, 2011 - 12:12 pm

I think you are a good kind of crazy and I 100% believe God speaks to us like that, so it was encouraging to read someone else experiences that too. God does care about every detail and thank you for reminding me as I’m preparing to hold down the fort with 4 little ones while my husband goes away again for work…I know God is already there, prepared and ready for me in all the highs and lows of the upcoming week. “Oh how He loves us” keeps rolling around in my head…
Love,
Rory

Dawn - May 13, 2011 - 10:19 pm

I don’t think you are crazy….but that may be because I totally get it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think that probably means I am crazy too ๐Ÿ™‚ he he he…there are much worse things to be! ๐Ÿ™‚

Vanessa - May 14, 2011 - 9:59 pm

Love it!!! Thanks for the reminder that God is in the details!

Kerry Gautraud - May 15, 2011 - 11:07 am

We chose crazy too! Nothing better than storing our treasures in heaven!! Not everyone understands the joy and peace that comes with “crazy” but God does and I believe He smiles upon it. Thankful that you share so openly about listening & obeying His voice in the big & little things…to Him be the glory!!!

Sandi - May 15, 2011 - 6:36 pm

Wow-another example of God speaking to my heart through you. I prayed for hours last night about this very subject. God places people on my heart and I feel their pain, then I am called to help them financially, encourage them and pray for them day and night. Often it is strangers and there is no way other than God that I could know the details of why they are hurting or exactly how to help. I was asked to send my testimony to the church as part of the “membership requirements” and have really, really been torn as to what exactly to reveal. If I am truthful my story is full of miracles but it sounds crazy, unbelievable Unreal!

Shelly - May 17, 2011 - 11:15 pm

I chose crazy too. And that’s how we roll. Love you dearly, sweet friend.
