Life as We Know It… (Where’s Frank?!)

Remembering back… As some of you may remember–we did all kinds of fun and crazy things last Fall as we were jumping through the hoops of our home study and our Ethiopian dossier. One of the many crazy things we did…was jump in a movie! So, we’ve waited an ENTIRE year for it to finally […]

So fun!! Ya’ll are movie stars!! And I am just thrilled about Isaac crawling! Yay!!!!

Kim - September 29, 2010 - 3:53 am

I remember the post. Hard to believe that was a year ago?! Loved the trailer and spotting baby Frank! How cool is that?!
I am also sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for that PT report. If Frank is your MOVIE STAR … that makes ITY your ROCK STAR!
Cheering you on from Hong Kong,
Kim

missy - September 29, 2010 - 10:27 am

i had forgotten about your movie star experience! i was just watching that trailer the other night. how FUN to watch it again and see frankie baby in it!

Jen - September 29, 2010 - 2:22 pm

how do you mark your pics with “babeofmyheart”? just wondering:)

Jennifer - September 30, 2010 - 11:48 pm

So fun! I was actually thinking of you on the way to India. Sitting in the airplane on the way there w/time to watch a movie, I was trying to remember the title. Ended up watching a good movie (can’t remember the title now) but it obviously wasn’t yours…LOL!

An Isaac update, a reminder and tailgating!

A quick update on Mr.Isaac’s pulmonology appointment today: It was actually a really great doctor visit considering some we’ve been through! We took some more not-so-fun xrays (poor guy hates those!) and the doctor has given us a great treatment plan for asthma. We’ve got different inhalers for different occasions…daily use, emergency use, etc. It […]

[…] healing…and each of us matter deeply to Him (remember the little bird outside OfficeMax?) OR do you remember the bird that was waiting for us out side the pulmonologist that day…when I wa……and the song he sang??? I felt God just reminding me that HE would be my strength in this […]

school days, doctor days, crazy Frank & photography 101

ITY decided at 2:30am he didn’t want to sleep anymore last night…SO–after 2 hours trying to convince him it was a good idea…at 4:30 I gave up:). Now…if you had emailed me and I returned your email at 4:30am…now you know why;). We were on about day 10 of antiobiotics for a really bad double […]

Love Miss Laney’s bows!!! Erica came home from school yesterday telling me that she MUST have pigtails for school today because Laney wore pigtails and she wanted to look “just like Laney!!” 🙂

I’m praying for you and sweet Isaac tomorrow!

abby - August 19, 2010 - 10:55 pm

love the pics and laney is so precious! love the bows! :0)

Kelly - August 19, 2010 - 11:41 pm

I am crying from laughing at Frank! I love that kid! You can’t blame him. Those chocolate covered pretzels are great and diet dr. pepper is oh so yummy! I’m sure Richard loved that, but he can’t talk…..6 doughnuts. I’ll have to watch him extra carefully tomorrow.

Caytie - August 19, 2010 - 11:43 pm

Will be praying for little Isaac and his momma as you go to the doctors! Your children are just beautiful and that Frank is a crack-up reminds of my 4th, she’s hysterical like him! Loved the bows on Laney and the pics of her sleeping are drop dead gorgeous…nothing like a sleeping child!

Jen - August 19, 2010 - 11:48 pm

beautiful pictures. I’m w/ Frank, I have a sweet tooth, too:)

I was wondering if you had any suggestions about airport homecoming. We want our kiddos to get to see our little girl before the crowd. Someone suggested we tell everyone to meet at baggage claim except for our kids. Just curious…

Elle J - August 20, 2010 - 12:03 am

God will be with you and Isaac tomorrow, I know you will find His peace. Stay strong and keep praying throughout your visit; I will be too. Your children are an adorable, cute, handsome, beautiful four! Uh, love your photos (and the numbers on your stairs!!!).

Shannon - August 20, 2010 - 12:03 am

ohhhh so much in that post…where do I start? First..absolutely we’ll be praying for Isaac tomorrow and tonight for some sleep. Poor Punkin’ and poor mama! Love the picture of your sweet kiddos waiting for school and the precious ones of Laney too! I wish we were closer because I know our girls would be BFFS!! And Frank and my Jo would be best buds too…she does the same thing when she’s caught doing something a little naughty:) Sooo glad you offered up the bow tutorial. I was hoping but didn’t want to ask! It’s not like you have anything going…heehee!! Also….thank you for sharing about the Dockery’s! What an amazing family and I’ll be getting my shirt asap!! Love, Shannon

Dawn - August 20, 2010 - 12:09 am

PRAYING!!! for Isaac, and for wisdom and guidance!!

Kim - August 20, 2010 - 2:42 am

Where do I even start after such a packed full post!
Of course you can count on my prayers for ITY and you!
Love, love, love the back to school photo.
And Frank … how he cracks me up. You know, he reminds me of Kristi’s son George. Both are personality PLUS!
Thanks for the photo tips … I’ve got lots to learn.
Love & Blessings from Hong Kong,
Kim

Christy - August 20, 2010 - 7:14 am

Yay! Can’t wait to read the bow making tutorial, and how fun you are going to make it into a ladies’ night out. I’m hoping to do the same one of these days when I refresh myself on it all. Got info on doing the twisty gymboree like ones yesterday.

Christy - August 20, 2010 - 7:15 am

and PS – still praying for Isaac!

Heather - August 20, 2010 - 7:34 am

My son had ear infections all the time until I took him to the chiropractor. No ear infections since. I took him 4 times (pretty close together) and *poof* gone. It’s so much more natural than antibiotics. They rub his neck and back and it got the stuff out of his head. Just FYI.

amy bell - August 20, 2010 - 9:07 am

i will be praying for isaac…we went through ENT issues with my boys…such tough days for a mama. i think frank should have his own facebook fan club…that child is HILARIOUS. 🙂

amber - August 20, 2010 - 10:15 am

praying for ITY. and i love the sleeping pics. so angelic and innocent and peaceful.

Sara - August 20, 2010 - 12:30 pm

Thanks for the photography advice! I have a D40 and am wanting to get a new lens. I’ve been looking at the 50mm. I have a 55-200 but I’m finding to get shots of little ones I need to be in close and be able to have that shutter work fast.

Kelly - August 20, 2010 - 12:39 pm

Thanks for the camera info! That wil help a lot. Praying that your son does fine with the kidney reflux issue. Our son was too tested for that around 8 months (found out he has hydronephrosis) so I understand how it feels to have your baby going through that. I think its eaiser on them though when they are younger though because they do just sleep a whole lot more. Praying for your baby and (and mommy!)

Megan - August 20, 2010 - 12:51 pm

Laney is a girl after my own heart! Love the fancy outfit (and her school outfit is adorable too).

Rach@InHisHands - August 20, 2010 - 1:27 pm

Congrats to your beautiful family on your newest {adorable} addition! Sending prayers for you today!

Who are we kidding?!

Seriously…at OUR house…is there EVER REALLY a “last day” for summer?! So…YES it is a Tuesday night. YES…that means it is a school night. BUT…recreaction and outdoor activity is important as it helps get some energy out…and of course it can always provide family bonding. Of course—BEFORE we got started Richard laid the ground rules. […]

admin - August 15, 2010 - 3:35 pm

Oh April, this momma doesn’t have time for effects…so that room is really that WHITE! It is the ONE place in my house that stays white! How? I have no idea…but it has so far:). The kids say, “The white room!!! Quick get out of here!” So funny!

Heather Nordstrom - August 15, 2010 - 10:15 pm

Oh, how I wish we had a Krispy Kreme close by! After living in Georgia for almost 9 years we came to LOVE them. Now living in NE, the closest one is 90 mi. away. 🙁 Our kids LOVE your children and like to watch the videos of Isaac over & over (eating green beans, the popsicle..) When I say – come look at the pics of Frank – they immed. know who I mean!

Julie Bennett - August 15, 2010 - 10:20 pm

Love the pictures! Andrea, I always look forward to seeing your posts. I love how you make the most of each day and truly enjoy these times with your kids. They grow so quickly! My oldest just turned 20! Not sure how that happened so quickly. It’s sad to have her off to school (in CA and we live in OH), but know that she is in God’s will. Continue enjoying and thanking God for the blessing of each day!
Julie

Lara - August 15, 2010 - 11:00 pm

Those Ethiopian babes are just about the yummiest thing I’ve ever seen! And Frank with the donut is hilarious. You must save those for his first date. Or wedding slide show. Good luck, Mama! I’m sending one off to preschool soon, so I’ll probably be crying in my coffee too!

Jenni - August 16, 2010 - 12:20 am

Andrea! I just love your blog! The pics are too cute and that sweet little Frank. . . I could eat him up! Hope you are doing well. Jenni (1in17)

Kim - August 16, 2010 - 1:44 am

Jennifer - August 16, 2010 - 4:21 pm

So sad Krispy Kreme went out of business near us! Probably better for my waistline. So makes me want a KK and a Mild and Mellow coffee (think that is what it was called…it’s been too long)! My mouth is watering!!! Love the pictures!!!!!! Thanks for chatting Sat.!
